Teas

Here in Ireland we take our tea very seriously. In fact, we consume more tea per capita than any other country in the world. The reason? The Irish just might have the best tea in the world to drink! Tea was first introduced to Ireland in the early 1800s. Back then it was classed as a luxury item – confined only to upper class people of considerable wealth. Tea parties became a way in which wealthy people would socialise. However, it was not long before Tea became more popular and by the mid 1800’s every household in Ireland had a Tea Caddy. In Ireland we only select tea from the best tea estates in the world, resulting in the perfect cup every single time. Our blenders are experts in their field and have carefully passed their knowledge and expertise down through generations. This means our quality is never anything but exceptional. Ireland has won several international awards for its finest tea blends. Blends from all over the world!

We supply a complete range of teas – loose and teabags, from breakfast to evening, decaffeinated, green, and organic teas.

Organic Tea

We are proud to supply a carefully selected range of international award winning organic teas. We also specialise in the blending and preparation of Whole-Leaf Organic Teas.

Coffee

Fresh coffee beans are green when removed from the fruit of the tree. It is the roasting process that changes them from green beans to the various shades of brown, depending on your roast preference. During roasting, heat causes acids to be formed and consumed, converted into sugars and other flavour compounds. Getting the roasting part of the process right is vital to making good coffee, so we pay careful attention to it here in Ireland. Roasting affects taste, smell and colour. We vary roasting time, roast profile and outturn temperature to get the balance right between acidity and body, while maintaining flavour. For example, dark roasts have lower acidity then lighter roasts of the same origin. Our extensive range includes American, Colombian, Java, Costa Rica and New York Roast coffees and more.
